Vertebral body fracture – Vertebral body deformation / Osteoporosis

Dorsal pain, may result in palsy.

Vertebral body fracture can be caused by biomechanical stress, inflammation, momentous injuries (trauma), and bone decomposition (osteoporosis).

Osteoporosis increases the risk of spontaneous fracture and/or bone fracture due to minor injury. Vertebral fractures are very painful – sequelae frequently include vertebral body deformation (possibly with axial displacement).
